I had a whole flurry of excitement last night, only to be let down this morning.

I had a whole flurry of excitement last week, awaiting the weekend, only to be caught by surprise by an unforeseen incident.

Ive heard lotsa criticisms about myself lately, some justified and others perhaps, in my opinion, less so.

Hmm. Life has been quite a bore indeed.
